Four Corners Indigenous Art Market
Celebrating Indigenous Art, Culture, and Community in the Heart of the Southwest
Each June, the Canyons of the Ancients Visitor Center & Museum comes alive with the sights, sounds, and stories of the Four Corners Indigenous Art Market-a vibrant celebration of Native artistry, heritage, and resilience. This annual event, held the fourth Saturday in June, welcomes the public to experience the living traditions of Indigenous peoples from across the Four Corners region.
The market showcases skilled artists and cultural practitioners representing a variety of mediums, from silversmithing, beadwork, and pottery to weaving, painting, carving, and more. Each artist brings not only their craft, but also the stories, techniques, and traditions that connect their work to generations past and to the communities they serve today.
Visitors enjoy the rare opportunity to purchase authentic, handmade works directly from the artists, learn about the significance of each artform, and participate in cultural demonstrations that foster deeper understanding and respect. For many attendees, the market is more than an event—it’s a chance to strengthen community bonds, support Indigenous livelihoods, and ensure cultural knowledge continues to thrive.
