Saturday, April 22 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

9:00 a.m. Meet at the Castle Rock (original Sand Canyon trailhead parking area). We will walk to the Lamb House together for a special outside tour of the Lamb House with CANM Archaeologist, Vince MacMillan. We will talk about the history, significance, and current state of the Lamb House, as well as discuss the upcoming Great America Outdoors Act project and future possibilities for the facility.

10:00 a.m. Tailgate safety talk and clean-up day information at Sand Canyon Parking Lot (original, find the blue Dodge Ram BLM truck)

Following the safety talk we’ll regroup and branch out to different areas along County Rd. G for a roadside clean-up. Some will stay at Sand Canyon Trail head, some will go towards Rincon and find safe areas to park and walk along road side.

Clean-up will conclude by 12:00 p.m.  Meet back at Sand Canyon Trailhead to dispose of e-waste and trash with Amala at the blue Dodge Ram BLM truck.

Trash bags, gloves and light refreshments will be provided.

Please wear layers, sturdy shoes, hat and sunglasses. Don’t forget to bring sunscreen and a water bottle!

We greatly appreciate your time and energy! We are looking forward to a great Earth Day made possible by awesome folks like YOU who come together to do something good for the planet and our local public lands!
