Please join SCCA with our partners from Canyons of the Ancients National Monument for an on-the-ground training for Trail Information Specialist volunteers.

WHAT: TRAIL INFORMATION SPECIALIST VOLUNTEER TRAINING WITH CANYONS OF THE ANCIENTS NATIONAL MONUMENT STAFF

WHEN: WEDNESDAY, MARCH 9 AT 10:00 A.M. TO 12:00 P.M.

WHO: ALL CURRENT AND INTERESTED TIS VOLUNTEERS

WHERE: ROAD G (MCELMO CANYON) PARK AT PAVED SAND CANYON PARKING LOT, GATHER BEYOND THE CANYONS OF THE ANCIENTS SIGN

We welcome all current Trail Information Specialist (TIS) volunteers to attend this in-person outdoor training opportunity. Join us at the Sand Canyon trailhead to review volunteer position responsibilities and frequently asked questions from visitors. Learn some key interpretive facts and about features at the Castle Rock archaeological site from CANM Archaeologist Vince MacMillan. RSVP to Shaine Gans at swcocanyons@gmail.com by Monday, March 7th. Please be sure that you complete and submit this SCCA TIS Volunteer Release of Liability and Assumption of Risk Agreement online form prior to participating in the training.
